PV Output

pvjune13June, 2013 was a mixed bag - good sun and then more than a week of constant rain. The effect was evident in the PV array output - 367 kWhrs (we should be doing 400+). However, the first half of the year recorded 2,229+ kWhrs of solar-generated electricity. That puts us on track for another year of 4,000+ kWrs of sun-generated power.

Plugin Prius

On the personal transportation front, my plugin is doing very well - warmer temperatures equal greater battery capacity which results in better MPG. At the end of June, EV-HV (my license plate) had registered an average of 125 MPG! I expect further improvement as the summer moves along.

Here's a shocker: My last visit to the gas station showed that I had achieved 179 MPG on the most recent fillup (an inverval of 8 weeks from the previous visit)! I'm eager to push it to 200. I know, these numbers appear to be beyond belief, but they are, in fact, hard numbers that prove the concept of a plugin hybrid, particularly if you use it within the range of the EV battery. Onward and upward!
